There are a number of things to consider when deciding upon how to advertise your company and not go over budget or spend wastefully. Since the majority of people work outside their homes, the logical thing to do is find a way to advertise to them while they are en route. It can be difficult to find to make your ad stand out to a public who are constantly bombarded with advertising nearly twenty four hours per day.

Colour is another way to draw attention to your ad amidst the cacophony of hoardings along the street. Bold, bright and brash colours will help catch the eye of a passer-by long enough for your ad to make an impact. Be careful, don’t choose a colour that will cause pain or irritation, you want to leave a good impression, not a bad one.

Graphics and photos can communicate your intentions while not overtaxing the brain. Loads of successful ads often don’t include any text what-so-ever. If you are creative you can find the right graphic element or photograph that will make your advertisement memorable.

Combine colour, graphic elements and limited use of text to create the perfect medium of communication with your outdoor advertising signs. If your text is large and easy to remember and your graphic element coveys the message you desire and the colour scheme draws attention without being obnoxious, you have created a top notch advertisement.

Simply having a grand hoarding design will not guarantee anyone actually sees your particular sign. Like real estate the key is location, location, location and just like real estate prime locations can cost more money. Do a bit of research and find a location that will provide you with the most exposure you can afford and see what happens.

People need to see your ad often. If you only have one location, then you are limiting your exposure to potential customers. There are other mediums available for your outdoor ad campaign. Have the ad from your hoarding reduced in size and then hire a bill poster to hang your ads on all manner of areas. Just make sure they place them in legal spaces, don’t hire a dodgy bill poster.

Advertising has finally caught up with the twenty first century. Outdoor advertising signs have gone digital. Electronic signage make it easier to change ads and less expensive in the long run. No need to hire a pro to put up and take down paper. Just log on and make the changes. It makes it easier for you as well; you can simply send your artwork over the net.

A well-run promotional campaign is key to the success of any real estate agent and there is no more cost-effective way to promote yourself and the properties and customers you represent than refrigerator magnets. Custom refrigerator magnets give the realtor the advantage over traditional business cards and brochures because it gives you a level of personalization as well as the ability for customers and prospects to continually refer to the magnet for your important contact information. Quite frankly, paper business cards, glossy brochures and flyers are too easily thrown away – you might have even had to pick them up on the lawn after a long day of showing your properties.

Refrigerator magnetscome in many different shapes, sizes and design which can be easily customized for maximum effectiveness. It could be as simple as a photo and contact information on a business card magnet (traditionally 2×3.5) or you can have a fancier design made on a magnet in the shape of a house or a “For Sales” sign. Best yet, an imaginative realtor can even customize refrigerator magnets into any shape or image they choose – a refrigerator magnet doesn’t have to have four square corners. But why stop there? Larger magnets can be used as well, especially magnets with calendars or schedules of your favorite sports teams. Another option, especially for real estate agents for time shares, apartment complexes, or new housing developments, is a magnet that shows building plan, layouts, or even emergency information of all the properties in that location – the choice is endless.

Referrals are an important aspect of the real estate industry so keep in front of former, current and future customers with custom-made real estate magnets personalized by you the realtor. This inexpensive yet effective promotional and advertising method will ensure that everyone will have your information handy and ready to use once needed. There is no limitation to what magnets can be used for, whether it’s an alternative to paper business cards, a handy calendar item, or even a large outdoor magnet that you can use on the side of your car door. All of the magnets are made in the USA, sturdy and durable – a lasting marketing tool that will ensure long client access and relationships.

Fortunately, there is more than one “advertising business.” For every “big” glamorous agency or boutique there are hundreds of smaller outfits that simply get the job done for their clients. Many of these shops are no less challenging than the big ones, and their standards can be just as high. There are also advertising jobs in the media and in corporate ad departments. In addition, there are many related industries (which you might even like better), such as broadcast production, photography, printing, graphic design, Web development, etc.

People would agree that advertising is a very important component of business. Well, not even with business. Even in interpersonal relationships, advertisement is still very important. It’s not uncommon to hear a guy’s friend tell a girl how good the guy is, and how they’ll end up very well together. That’s advertising. Friends will always tell a girl that their friend is best for him.

There are many ways to advertise a business. One of them is through print media. One of the most common ways of advertising through print media is to make use of existing publications. In the old ways, businesses relied on newspapers, radio stations and television channels for their advertising needs. These are media that are able to send the message across to a wide audience… at a given time.

You see, the effectiveness of television advertisements depend on the number of seconds or minutes that it has for airtime. It totally depends on the right timing, if the right people are watching at the ideal time. Radio advertisements do the same thing. Newspaper advertisements, on the other hand, rely on the size and placement of the ad to determine its effectiveness. It also depends on what day the ad was displayed on the classifieds section of the newspaper.

You can see now that there is a need for an ad that is constantly being pushed at the attention of its intended viewers. There should be an ad that can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it should be something everyone sees. That is where outdoor advertising comes in.

Outdoor advertising deals with ads such as banners, and billboards. Recently also there has been a development of a new form of outdoor advertising such as building wraps. However, they all do the same thing: they attract the attention of people. It is different from the traditional advertisements because outdoor advertising can be seen by people all the time. Billboards and building wraps, for example, just sit there without even having someone say anything. The ads are just displayed there all the time.

What makes outdoor advertising advantageous is that they are guaranteed to catch the attention of its audience. Who can resist the charm and attraction that the billboards offer? Whether or not you’re interested in the product, you can still see the outdoor advertisement when you pass by it while you drive your kids to school or on your way to work. Most of the times, this results to a curiosity that can end up having the person buy the product and becoming a customer for the business.

Contrary to what my mom believes, public relations is not serving food at the neighborhood bar, working retail at the mall or being a stripper (no joke, a local men’s club once advertised topless dancing jobs as public relations). According to the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) website, “public relations helps an organization and its publics adapt mutually to each other.” Marketing focuses more on the product and services itself, while public relations works to establish a solid reputation for an organization and influence opinion through truthful education (not manipulation and lies).

Not really apples and oranges, but enough of a difference to need a strategic PR plan for your business. My favorite definition of public relations comes from my first college PR class: public relations is managed communications between an organization and its publics. You control the message and format of the content released. The message is consistent with your business story and presents your business in a positive, proactive, authentic and truthful light. There are numerous forms of communication, from press releases, brochures, websites, advertising and sales letters to speeches, social media, events and everything in between. Anything that can be used to connect with someone else can be considered a form of communication.

Repeat after me- there is no such thing as the general public. You are not trying to reach the whole world. Really. Your public’s are those groups you need to reach; those clusters of likeminded people who you are trying to influence. It could be potential clients, current customers, media, elected officials, school teachers, union groups or any other target group. Your public’s will be different from your markets, which will be different from your audiences in advertising.

Micro niche marketing will be identifying your target audience and a specific need, then creating or promoting a product/service that is exactly what they’re looking for. You then dominate this single micro-market rather than spreading out your time and earnings amongst several profitable niche markets.

The following are some advantages to micro niche marketing:

1. Heightened Credibility – Because you are specializing in a single area within a niche, your scope of expertise is more narrow – which puts you in the upper hand position with your business. You are an expert targeting a specific segment within your niche, therefor consumers will be more inclined to trusting your recommendations and resources compared to the generalized information by your niche competitors. Focusing on a specific area of expertise will also position you to build strong relationships with your clients – creating longevity and status for your business.

2. Ditch The Competition – Micro niche marketing means you are focusing all of your business energy on one specific segment within your target audience, and providing them with a single portfolio of specialized products or services. Even though your competition is marketing within the same niche, they are spreading out focus accross the entire niche rather than focusing on one area – and this makes it extremely easy for you to remove them from the equation.

3. Comparably Greater ROI – ROI is an abbreviation for return on investment. What makes micro niche marketing so awesome is that specializing in a specific area allows you to charge considerably higher fees for your products and services. The reason you can do this is because your business provides more targeted information and offers an exact solution – one which you’ve identified and researched.

Once you have reached the point of perfection within your niche, you can claim your throne and sit there without threat – and continue to charge higher fees because you are viewed as the “expert” and are known to specialize with quality information and products. Your consumers will love you and your competition will hate you.

In my NicheDemon EBook which discuss a step by step 5 day plan to get started making money from niche marketing starting from identifying your niche product to setting up a profitable website. There are no millionaire secrets here just real world tools of what worked for me to make a living online.

The technologies now considered “advanced” for many meetings, such as high-speed networking, videoconferencing, and distance learning, are as commonplace to today’s kids as dodge ball was to my generation. Oklahoma school districts use Microsoft’s Encarta Class server to deliver a Web-based math curriculum to all students. And on a personal level, my 17-year-old son is adept at using Excel to plot the results of his science project on magnetism.

Why should you care? Because if you think you don’t have to learn much about technology to keep your career afloat, consider this: My son’s older buddies will be sitting in your meeting rooms in less than five years, expecting you to know more than they do.

Instant messaging (IM) is a stark example of technology that’s moved from the adolescent world to the meetings world. Enabling users to exchange real-time messages, IM helps teens “chat” on the Internet.

A personal or corporate IM system lets you set up groups of contacts, and see whenever somebody on your list is online. You can then initiate an IM session with that person, or chat with the whole group. So the same technology that lets kids chat about American Idol lets business people and their internal and external contacts instantly communicate. Likely fueled by an influx of 20-somethings comfortable with IM technology, the corporate IM market will grow from 5.5 million users worldwide in 2000 to 280 million in 2009, according to International Data Corp.

The National Center for Education Statistics finds that 98 percent of public schools are Internet-connected, with one computer for every five students. With young people using the Net not just for information buy for interaction, that habit will surely come with them when they enter the workforce.
